Patient Appreciation DayDr. Michael Malloy graduated from Cornell University, New York in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Biology.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College in 1990 and graduated Valedictorian.

Between 1972 and 1986, he was a licensed building contractor involved in residential construction.

Dr. Malloy is constantly upgrading his knowledge with continuing education courses and seminars to assure he has the most up-to-date information and skills to facilitate the healing process in patients.


Faith Arkel, LPC

Providing individual counseling to adults, Faith offers a safe, supportive environment for you to explore and address your personal concerns. She believes it takes more courage to face one’s problems than to avoid them. She has a practical, down-to-earth approach to support you in a process of self-discovery.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Sciences from Queens College (CUNY) and her master’s degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and she has a Master Addiction Certification (MAC). She is listed in the LPCA State Registry for Clinical Supervisors and she provides supervision and training for therapist working towards state licensure.

She has many years of broad-based counseling and supervisory experience both in agency and private practice settings. She is also an adjunct instructor in the Counseling Psychology Department of Argosy University in Atlanta, GA.

Janet D. Lewis, D.C.

Dr. Lewis is a proud parent of 3 children.  She has compassion and patience with special needs children since her oldest has Aspergers syndrome, ADHD and Dyspraxia.

Dr. Lewis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University in 1997.  She has extensive experience in extremity adjusting (shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and feet), as well as caring for pregnant Moms, infants and children.

Dr. Brendan Malloy attended Life University where he graduated with Bachelor of Biology and  Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. While attending Life University's Chiropractic Program, Dr. Brendan Malloy was employed by the University as a tutor in a variety of subjects such as: Basic Sciences, Anatomy, Orthopedic Testing, Neurological Testing, Visceral Testing, and a number of varying Adjusting Techniques. Also, while at Life University, he played on the Life U. ACHA D2 hockey team for 3 seasons and after graduating, served as the Life University Hockey Team chiropractor for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

Working at Sandy Plains Chiropractic, he puts his education and experience to good use by working with spinal issues (such as abnormal segmental motion, disc & facet problems and sprain/strain injuries), athletic injuries and functional movement issues. Dr. Brendan applies various chiropractic adjusting techniques and administers numerous therapies including percussion, laser, traction and trigger point therapy. In 2014, Dr. Brendan joined the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatiric Association), and enrolled in their program to specialize further in pediatric and maternity chiropractic care. 

In 2011, Dr. Brendan obtained his Twist Sport Coach Certification and in 2012 he opened, with his business partner Coach Brian Barry, Linked Athletics (a sport performance training center for all ages and abilities). Dr. Brendan and Brian Barry were the strength and conditioning coaches for the ECHL Atlanta (then Gwinnett) Gladiators for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. Further, the later half of 2015 saw Dr. B earning his Primal Blueprint Expert Certification (now the Primal Health Coach Certification). 2020 ushered in his Certified Sleep Science Certification as well as re-certifying as a Primal Health Coach. Both of these endeavors contribute greatly in a pursuit to create an expansive wellness-based lifestyle library from which to pull from for each individual patient during their care.

In 2014, Dr Brendan married his wife Kyla. They are active members of the East Cobb community and have two daughters. Kyla and Brendan are committed to serving and promoting a healthier more cohesive community.

Dr. Brendan began taking courses from the Academy of Chiropractic in 2017, and is so currently.
